Cross side wrist grab
The attacker grabs e.g. the right wrist with his right hand. |
Note that with one hand free you can attack with your free hand; e.g. slap the attacker's ear hard with a cupped hand, or press into neck points. However, you may want to release yourself first to stop the attacker from destroying your balance and controlling your motion. Place your hands together. You can grasp your hands, but never interlock fingers.
Lift your hands straight up. You are breaking against the opponent's thumb.
Step your right leg slightly to your right and step with your left hand, firing it from the point you lifted it up to. You can strike the attacker's ear, and if you catch him cleanly you will create severe disorientation. Remember to use body and hips in the strike. |
