Kihon Kata Sequence 4

Kihon Kata

Sequence 4:
gedan barai
oi tsuki

Tori grabs uke's chest so that he can pull uke in for a head butt.

Uke's left hand pushes tori's head to one side to stop the immediate danger.
But it is not just a push: it could be a cupped hand to the ear, a punch to TW 17 or GB 20 or ST 6 or other areas; or a strike by the radial bone to the base of the skull.
Simultaneously, uke's right hand delivers an upper cut to the solars or ribs.
This is the "preparation" for the gedan barai.
Grab either the hair above the ear, the hair at the crown of the head, or the ear.
Grab mainly the top part of the ear in order to pull down.
Sweep down.
Before tori has a chance to realize what's going on, uke drops his weight onto his ribs/head.
