Kihon Kata Sequence 6

Kihon Kata

Sequence 6:
oi tsuki
gedan barai through
270 degrees
oi tsuki

Tori delivers right straight punch; uke parries it to the blindside, using his "reaction hand".

Uke counters with a straight punch to a vital area on the head.
If possible this move and the last would be done simultaneously.
Uke initiates "dragon returns his tail".
He uses his right ulna bone to cut into the brachioradialis (forearm) muscle of tori's right hand.
For this to work, tori's fist should be at least uke's shoulder height; uke can always drop his weight to bring their bodies into proper alignment.
Uke uses his left arm to help pull the right in; this helps the move but is not essential.
Uke leans forward slightly and begins the 270 degree turn, dropping tori.
As tori falls down, uke uses his left gedan barai gripping tori's right hand to stretch tori out.
Uke then drops his weight onto tori's ribs/head.
A stamp kick is a simple alternative.
