Climate Change and the Student Movement

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

Climate Change and the Student Movement is a national conference, bringing students and incoming executive officers together to discuss a co-ordinated and well thought-out response to the challenges presented by climate change.

What are the most urgent issues and priorities? What is the role of students in the wider movement? How can we take action, and in what form? Should we work within the system, or 'agitate from without'? Over the course of the weekend, students from all over the country will gather to discuss these questions and, more importantly, resolve to take action. Moving to a sustainable, low-carbon society requires political and intellectual efforts on an unprecedented scale, and students have as big a part to play in this as anyone.

So join us in Brighton on the 6th and 7th of June, and let's help the world to take the next step...

FINAL DETAILS

Thank you to all that have registered for the conference. We now have almost 100 sign-ups, and are ready for a fantastic weekend!
The bulk of the conference will be held in the Brighton and Sussex Medical School Building (BSMS), and this is where delegates should go when they first arrive. Registration will take place in the BSMS foyer. Those attending on Friday can register any time after 15:30. We will try to keep registration open through the evening for late arrivals, but we would strongly encourage you to get here before the opening plenary at 17:00.

If you wish to arrive on Saturday, registration will be open from 9:00. Again, we will try to keep it open through the morning, but those who manage to arrive in time for George Marshall's will be glad they did!

Delegates only attending the Sunday training sessions should make their way to the Russell Building (a map and directions will be provided) in good time for the 10AM start. We will do a roll call before the start of the session.

Thanks again for taking part in this conference. All of the organising team are really excited about it, and hopefully you are too. See you this weekend!
