Sussex Bowmen University of Sussex Archery Club

About us

The club has been around for 10 years. Abilities range throughout the group, and coaching is provided for all members.

The club owns a number of recurve bows and we have access to all the kit that a beginner might need. At present, we are shooting in the Sports Hall on Saturdays, 4pm - 6pm. The joining fee is £33 for the year. This includes membership to the sports federation, which means you can join any university club for the whole year, it also includes GNAS insurance.

We have two qualified coaches in the club who are more than happy to teach from begginer level upwards.

The Archery Club involves itself with several competitions, this year the club has joined the south east archery league, this involves us competing against four local universities, Imperial, Brunel, ULA and Surrey. It is a light hearted league with the main intention being to familiarise begginers with a competition.
